Real Weddings: Kreezel + Hai

What’s more enchanting than a fairy tale? It was love at first sight for Kreezel + Hai, and they made sure their wedding day was only the beginning of their epic love story. Perfectly planned and based on their love, our day with the new Mr. and Mrs. was truly special. Cozy up for a sweet story of how it all came together!

Our love story is truly written in the stars the moment we met 12 years ago at a Bowling Alley. Hai said it was love at first sight when he first laid eyes on me and knew that I was his “star” forever. After 10 years of dating and supporting each other’s goals and dreams, Hai planned a large surprise proposal on March 28, 2015, that involved flying my best friend in town from D.C.

We tied the knot on Memorial weekend of 2017 and we cannot wait to see our love shine brighter than it ever did in the sky. They said stars are born, live, and die. We feel like we were born to love each other and live together until death do us part!

Our ceremony took place at St. Hubert; the church’s architecture ceiling created a romantic look we were looking for to hold our traditional Filipino wedding. The Stonegate Banquet’s lakeside pavilion was the perfect setting for our reception. The tent in the pavilion featured classic white draping along the ceiling that went well with the chandeliers and illustrated a dramatic look.

The day itself was beautiful and our photographer, Nicki was amazing. We wanted to have a simple, yet elegant wedding with the colors of white, silver, and Tiffany Blue. We had keys as place cards for our guests. Our thought was that the key represented our love throughout the years we have been together. The right key can open doors to happiness and new beginnings. The most fun we had during the wedding process was putting together the bridesmaids custom Ferrero Rocher bouquets. Hai and I are known for being the couple who loves desserts, so we wanted to express our love for sweets on our wedding day. Each table was numbered and named after our favorite desserts. Not to mention our awesome donut bar that our guests couldn’t stop talking about! The wedding day was filled with so much love and joy. Hai and I cannot wait for 2018 when we have our second honeymoon island hopping for 3 weeks in the Philippines.
