What makes each Real Wedding unique are the stories behind each day. The beauty of working with couples like Katherine + Dillon is that when you hear their story and look at their images you instantly feel connected. We hope that when they look back on their wedding day at The Lehmann Mansion they relive every moment and see it for the splendid day it was.
Real Wedding Story
We both attended Schaumburg High School (Class of 2007) and met our freshman year. We didn’t start dating until summer 2010, going into senior year of college; after some gentle prodding from the best man, and a few years of friendship under our belts!
With our daughter on the way in September of 2014, a Mother’s Day gift basket was placed at the end of our bed. When I woke up, I started on the basket and worked my way through a pair of slippers, perfume, and a few other items. At the very bottom was a little blue box. In that box was a baby spoon, representing the next chapter in our lives. Little did I know, this was not your typical fancy baby spoon. Tied to the end of the spoon was an engagement ring that would represent the rest of our lives together! Through some tears (and a bout of Bell’s Palsy) as they say, the rest is history.
We really enjoyed wedding planning. Our vendors made the difference. My advice to any bride would be, “Referrals are key!” We were engaged for 3 years (!) so we were able to take our time and really plan out every detail. It was all worth it. We had the most magical day. It was the most beautiful sunny summer day and we were so lucky that everything went off without a hitch. It was honestly the best day of our lives and one we will never forget.
How things are going now that you’ve said I do!
Great! It’s nice to be done with the planning and have our time back to spend with each other. We are excited to continue our lives together now as Mr. & Mrs. Rosch.
Special thanks to all of Katherine + Dillon’s amazing vendors!
